The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will ensure that Story Dogs remains an active and relevant organisation by raising awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services.

Support from Story Dogs: An experienced Coordinator in the Story Dogs team will become your mentor, helping you with any operational questions.

Story Dogs will supply: Uniform (shirt), corporate stationery, advertising materials, and other items necessary for the role. Story Dogs will provide all necessary training and assistance.

Please note: You will be required to be accredited with a dog and volunteer in your local school for one school term before becoming a coordinator. This period will be a time where you will be a ‘normal’ volunteer and you will not undertake any coordinating tasks, thereby gaining the knowledge, skill and insights of a volunteer. It is also a period in which Story Dogs and the potential coordinator can determine if they want to go ahead with becoming a fully functional coordinator.
