If yes, Milpara has the perfect volunteering opportunity for you! With the support of the Healthy Ageing Team, Companionship Volunteers would visit up to 5 residents who are at risk of social isolation each week.

Undertake an activity of the person’s choice – whether it could be having a cup of tea and chat, doing a word puzzle or some gardening outdoors!

Companionship Volunteers usually work between 2 to 8 hours per week/fortnight.

-National Police Certificate (mandatory) -Annual Flu Vaccination (mandatory) -COVID-19 Vaccination including booster 3rd dose (mandatory) -Friendly & respectful nature -Good communicator -Reliable -Able to work independently and in a team -Interest in the well being of older people
