STAR Community Services is celebrating 25 years of supporting the local community. STAR is a not-for-profit, community organisation providing a range of NDIS and Aged Care services.

STAR Community Services provide personalised transportation services which assists our aged, frail and disabled people who live in the Redlands and Ipswich regions.

STAR are seeking several Volunteer & Owner Drivers to assist with the growing need for client transport services the Redlands and Ipswich regions.

It is very important to STAR that Owner Drivers provide the highest level of safety and service to our clients.

STAR offers Owner Drivers the standard ATO cents per km for vehicle usage (currently 78c per km) to cover expenses.

Volunteer Owner Drivers must have a 4-door Sedan/Wagon/SUV under 10 years of age; suitable for the loading and unloading of seniors and transporting wheelie walkers. 4WDs are not appropriate.

Volunteer and Owner Drivers must: While providing transport services, a driver must: • comply with all relevant organisational policies and procedures. • comply with all provisions of the Transport Operations Act 1995 of Queensland. • have a 0.00% blood alcohol level while operating the vehicle. • carry comprehensive and compulsory third-party insurance applicable to the class of vehicle
