The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Samarinda Ashburton Aged Services Inc (SAAS).

Samarinda is seeking volunteers to join our busy Community Centre team to provide support for serving meals in our Community Centre.

Duties of this role will include food preparation, providing morning or afternoon tea for Community Centre attendees, food service, safe use of kitchen utensils and appliances, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, working within a team setting

Our clients include those who cannot cook for themselves, such as older people and people with a disability. Your vital assistance makes a difference to the lives of elderly residents across Camberwell, Glen Iris, Ashburton & Ashwood who attend the Samarinda Community Centre for activities or meals.

Training is provided. Samarinda is authorised to conduct Police Checks free of charge for volunteers. All volunteers are require to provide evidence of Covid Vaccination status.

Community Centre services run from 9:30am - 4:00pm weekdays. Days and times are totally flexible to fit in with volunteer availability.
