The Marine Mammal Foundation (MMF) is a leader in marine mammal research and conservation, undertaking active applied research on the marine mammals of Victoria through our flagship research program, Project Burrunan. We believe education is key to making a positive difference, and we achieve this by bringing our research findings directly to the community. MMF’s community outreach programs and events are designed to make our research accessible to all members of the public through fun, engaging and interactive experiences. From our award winning Marine Litter Project, to engaging community members with our unique ‘BurruVan’ display trailer, our outreach programs aim to inspire a greater connection to and appreciation of local marine environments through our incredible marine mammals, and empower individual and community action to make a positive difference.
