Established in 2014, Wheels of Wellness Ltd (WOW) is a community-based charity that delivers primary health care including allied health care through outreach clinics. Our committed team target the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people living within Cairns, those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our clinics are held on the streets of Cairns or the offices of our partners (YETI, Douglas House, Quigley Street Night Shelter, etc). In February, we will open our premises (two half days a week) to our clients. Some of the services we provide include: Comprehensive Medical Care, Medication Reviews, Injury & Wound Management, Diabetes Management & Education Mental Health, Sexual Health, Women’s Health, Contraception, Pregnancy Care, Child Health, Immunizations and Podiatry. We have two full time and nine part-time staff. Our work is very much grass roots and hands on.
