genU is short for Generation You. Whatever generation you belong to, whether you’re young, old or somewhere in between, what unites us is the belief that neither disability nor ageing are disadvantages to be endured but rather challenges to be met boldly, achievements to be had and adventures in the making. You belong to genU! genU has been 65 years in the making, bringing together the best of two trusted and respected community services organisations, Karingal and St Laurence. genU builds on this experience, adding a new ambition; to become a leader in everything we do. Whether it’s one-to-one help for people who need it or assisting staff in group activities in the community, volunteers are engaged in more than 100 different activities?each?week. We match interests, skills and experience to an activity, so?you can make it count for you?and those who you’re interacting with. We’re over 350 strong but we’re always looking for new volunteers. So if you have two hours or more, on a?weekday or weekend, then let’s hear from you.
