  • Location: Belli Park, QLD
  • Category: Young People

I Give A Buck Foundation (IGAB) is a charity dedicated to supporting some of the most vulnerable children, youth and families in our communities.

Our vision is that all children can receive the support they need to live the best life they can.

Our mission is to meet the needs of vulnerable children, youth and families – with a particular focus on those impacted by childhood trauma and domestic violence.

Our purpose is to improve the lives of vulnerable children by providing them with equitable access to therapeutic programs.

Established in 2009, IGAB has raised in excess of $1.4M in support of its beneficiaries and currently operates two major programs:

Sunshine Swags Program
This program supports children entering Domestic & Family Violence Refuges. Many children enter a refuge with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. The urgency of their situation has meant that all their possessions have been left behind. Everything they know and love.

The swags are designed to meet their immediate needs and to reassure them that they are valued and cared about. The contents have been carefully selected with input from Child Support Workers within the refuges and previous refuge clients (including mums and children).

HOOFBEATS Sanctuary
Through this program IGAB provides funded equine assisted learning opportunities for children, young people and adults impacted by trauma or mental health challenges by involving them in our horse and pony rescue activities. The Sanctuary offers a safe space for all people to spend time, learn and heal.
