Citizen Advocacy Perth

Logo for Citizen Advocacy Perth

Citizen Advocacy is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Social Services. Our aim is to provide additional support to vulnerable people with an intellectual disability by matching them with a caring member of the community who becomes their friend and advocate. We are looking for volunteers in the Perth area to come forward and support people in their local community. The role of a volunteer advocate typically takes 2-3 hours of your time, either weekly or fortnightly but those few hours can have a significant impact on someone who may be feeling isolated, lonely, and vulnerable. You don’t need special qualifications, but a driver’s licence is usually required. We provide all relevant training and support. If you have some spare time and want to help, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you!
