GovHack is the largest Hackathon in the Southern Hemisphere and run almost entirely by volunteers across Australia and New Zealand. It brings together people from all walks of life, to deliver solutions to community issues by hacking, mashing and remodelling Government Open Data. This position will lead this small team to share the opportunity of developing solutions via the use of Open Data with potential partners and assist in the strategic development for future relationships.
The State Director is responsible for the State Operations Team (SOT) but will be provided with support and assistance from the International Operations Team. The State Directors will be invited to participate on the IPT calls on a monthly basis to maintain communications between the IOT and SOT’s. Support from the various IOT teams i.e. volunteer management, marketing and communications will be provided as required. State Directors will also be able to access Operations Support.
