Soup Patrol volunteers provide a free meal to people who are homeless, socially disadvantaged or on very low incomes. Volunteers prepare for the soup shift, visit locations to meet with consumers of the service and serve soup, followed by clean up in the kitchen. Strong communication skills, understanding and empathy for others, and a non-judgemental approach to others is essential for this role.
